May 6 Employee Engagement & Motivation Breakfast Briefing

Strategies for Employee Engagement and Motivation

We will be hosting a special breakfast briefing to share the survey results from a Blessing White global survey on Employee Engagement on Tuesday, May 6th.

Employee Engagement is probably running neck-and-neck with Talent Management as HR's biggest buzzword these days. Often, it's used to describe the emotional connection or commitment that employees feel for their work or their employer.

Is Employee Engagement the biggest competitive advantage for companies? While competitive advantage may be an overused term, organizations will continue to achieve that elusive, special "edge," that differentiation competitors can't easily replicate. It's well worth the effort to identify and cultivate it — whatever that special blend of "it" is.

When facing this topic, the questions that may come up are:

1. How do we define engagement?
2. Who is engaged and who is not?
3. What is the link between engagement and retention?
4. What are employees looking for?
5. What is the role of leaders?
6. What can organizations do to cultivate more engagement?

We will help clarify what Employee Engagement means to organizations and share some strategies on how to achieve it.

Participants who will benefit from our briefing:

§ CEOs and Senior Executives
§ HR Directors and Managers
§ Line Managers with direct reports
§ Business heads of rapidly growing teams
§ Project Managers and Team Leaders
§ Managers concerned with retention

Also on March 19th, the WBOC hosted a seminar on the "Art of Attracting Referrals" which I was the moderator for. It was a very interesting evening with two experienced speakers and a panel of business owners from different industries sharing how they generate referrals to grow their business.
